Take My Revolution

I've decided to mix things up a little this time. Some people might not get the reference, if they've never seen or heard of the anime.

Not quite sure why this suddenly popped into my head, but it did and I needed to get it onto paper a.s.a.p.

Right, for those of you that don't know, this is based on an anime called Shoujo Kakumei Utena (Revolutionary Girl Utena) and it's been one of my absolute fave anime for many years. Somehow, I never got around to making any fanart for it, but that's changed now. Well, sort of...

You see, back in the old days (ha ha ha!) I developed an obsession with James' roses that he'd always carry round with him (why doesn't he do that anymore...? ) and that was kind of what drew me to Utena because that show is full of roses, they're as much a part of the story as the characters. Of course, Utena is a lot more than just pretty roses because it's just awesome on so many levels, I can come back to over and over, and still discover something new. ^_^

I know it's weird connection, but oh well. Sooo... I decided to combine Jessie and James with the style used in the Utena anime. It's my idea of how they might look if they were duelists. Although, they aren't fighting properly... -__-They're both cheating! As the idea is for them to try and cut the rose on the other's chest, but they're using their hands to stop each other, like a couple of kids! XD
Mind you, I think anything goes in those duels, so maybe they're okay. And besides, they're being touchy-feely, so shouldn't complain.
