Description

Yes, this is a new fanart.

No, you aren't seeing things.

I'm back, in between all my usual duties and video gaming distractions. =D

What? Don't tell me you thought I'd deserted you guys? Nah, I'm sure none of you were worried or even really missed me. Nevertheless, I'm here to continue with what I was doing. I couldn't leave Musashi and Kojiro separated forever after all.

Right, well, this is the very highly emotional reunion after a some crazy misadventures.

As most of you should know, last time Musashi and Kojiro were separated thanks to a cruel plan thought up by Kojiro's and Rumika's parents.

This leads to Musashi having some kind of breakdown. She becomes an empty shell of her former self, going through the motions of performing the same mundane rituals each day, not really thinking or feeling anything.

Yamato tries to get some kind of reaction out of Musashi by saying her usual string of insults and gloating over the fact that Kojiro is gone. When she doesn't get anything out of Musashi, she doesn't like it, so she starts yelling at Musashi about how if she was being herself there is no way she'd let this go so easily. And is she just going to sit here forever and not even try to do anything. Somehow this gets through to Musashi and she snaps out of it, realizing that for once Yamato is right.

Musashi takes action, she decides that she has to get Kojiro back. Only one problem is that she doesn't know where his parents moved him, until she remembers an important clue. Back when Rumika was bragging about moving to a better school, she was showing everyone a brochure. Musashi gets Mondo to look up the school on one of the computers in the school library (since Musashi and computers don't really mix well...).

Now that Musashi has the information she needs, she tells Miyamoto that she needs her to drive her to that destination. Miyamoto is understandably surprised by Musashi's sudden change in mood and her urgency to get to this random place, but she goes along with it anyway. And of course Nyasu comes along for the ride.

During all this, Kojiro is in the same sort of state as Musashi was. He's now in a school that he hates, with more restrictions, a fiancée he doesn't even like and his parents are constantly keeping tabs on him. The only time he gets to himself is at bedtime, when the events of his days finally catch up with him and all he can do it cry himself to sleep and thinking how much he wish he could see Musashi or even just talk to her.

Eventually this all becomes way too much for Kojiro to bear, so he snaps. He walks out of school and when his parents question him as to why he's home so early, he finally stands up to them and tells them a few home truths. He isn't prepared to put up with their treatment of him any longer. He goes to pack some things as he's decided that he's leaving whether they like it or not. Unfortunately, Kojiro's parents don't like it and try to stop him from going by making various threats. Kojiro is past caring and in a struggle he escapes from the house.

Musashi and Miyamoto make it to their destination. Musashi manages to sneak into the school that Kojiro is supposedly at, but is caught during her search and is immediately chucked out. Musashi sees Rumika leaving and goes to her hoping to get some answers. Rumika not particularly caring and not aware of what's happened over at Kojiro's parents house, tells Musashi that she's too late because, for whatever reason, Kojiro walked out of class earlier that day. Musashi loses her temper somewhat and demands that Rumika tell her where Kojiro's house is. Rumika sweetly gives her directions, but they turn out to be wrong.

So, Miyamoto spends time driving around all the rich areas, while Musashi goes to knock on each door in hopes of finding the right house. Finally, Musashi does find Kojiro's house, but his parents explain that he's gone, even taking the opportunity to blame Musashi for their son's behaviour and that it's her fault he's gone, because if he hadn't have met her none of this would've happened and he wouldn't be rebelling against them. Musashi feels like saying some things to them, but decides she doesn't have time because she needs to find Kojiro, as it's getting dark and cold out.

After hours of searching the streets, calling his name, Musashi finds no sign of Kojiro. Miyamoto has to persuade her daughter that they should go back home. Musashi is quiet on the drive back, going over the events of the day and even starting to think that Kojiro's parents were right and that Kojiro would've been better off if they'd never met. After all, anything could happen to Kojiro.

Miyamoto tries to comfort Musashi, but even she knows that there's not really anything she can do to make her feel any better. Musashi goes straight to bed without dinner, Nyasu tries his luck at comforting her by curling up next to her on her bed while she looks out her window at the sky as tears roll down her cheeks.

The next morning, Musashi decides to get dressed and go for a walk, not really knowing what else to do. Stepping outside, she suddenly notices the snow, but it does little to brighten her mood. She walks a little way down the street and stops at the corner. Behind her she hears a familiar voice, not quite believing what she heard, she slowly turns her head to look over her shoulder...

And there, standing across the street is Kojiro.

Musashi's eyes widen and she's rendered speechless by the sight. Without even thinking she runs towards him and practically jumps into his arms. The two just stand there in an embrace for several minutes, neither saying anything. They part slightly, but remain in a loose embrace.

Each of them is beaming with happiness from being together again, but Musashi sort tells Kojiro off for running away when she'd come to find him and that it was dangerous and he could've been hurt or worse. Kojiro is surprised that Musashi actually came looking for him. It's at this point that the pair suddenly realize for themselves how much they care about each other. They both start leaning in as if they are going to kiss, but then stop themselves and quickly change the subject.

From this point on Kojiro lives with Miyamoto and Musashi, since obviously he has nowhere else to go. The new situation throws up some interesting stuff, as you can imagine. Especially, since now Musashi and Kojiro have realized that maybe their feelings for each other go beyond those of best friends.

Okay, that's it for now. Hopefully that was worth the wait and with any luck there won't be too many typos in there because I feel too tired to go back and check through.

Enjoy! ^_^

This is really cool! I highly recommend playing “kissin’ in the cold” while reading and looking at the fanart.
